The Centacare FNQ Social Wellbeing Hub is located in a quiet residential area of Holloways Beach. The Hub offers a homely and relaxed atmosphere for all our guests, providing a safe and engaging environment. Our main objective is to support your physical and mental wellbeing while empowering you to maintain your independence.
The Social Support Group is aimed at encouraging, providing and maintaining social interactions for older people who are living independently within our community. We offer a wide range of activities, including:
We regularly communicate with our participants around which activities we can offer and endeavour to accommodate special requests. We have a vehicle available to use for our outings to encourage as many people to participate as possible. Take a look at the current activities calendar below.
The Centacare FNQ Hub is fully accessible and committed to providing a safe, respectful, comfortable and happy environment for anyone who visits us. When you are visiting with us at the Hub, we want you to feel like our home is your home.
All our staff members are qualified in Aged Care. We maintain a high standard of professional integrity and refresh our training annually so it is relevant and in line with current standards and practices. One area we are incredibly passionate about is working with people who have dementia. For us, this is not a behaviour, just a case of unmet needs. We strive to offer the highest quality care and continue our professional development in this area.
Centacare FNQ can arrange door-to-door transport through a third-party organisation for individuals living in Aeroglen, Brinsmead, Freshwater, Redlynch and the Northern Beaches area. If you live outside of these suburbs we can support you to arrange transport to and from your home.
Morning tea is offered on arrival and we offer a complimentary light lunch.
