Support Coordinator

The NDIS has rolled out in Far North Queensland and we need a passionate and highly skilled individual to join our team to support people with a psychosocial disability to transition into the NDIS. Centacare FNQ is seeking an applicant with an understanding of the NDIS, experience working within the mental health and/or disability sector, proven skills in supporting people, excellent communication and practice knowledge. Experience working with people from culturally diverse backgrounds would be highly advantageous.

The successful applicant must have access to a comprehensively insured vehicle. This position offers an attractive remuneration package (Centacare EA Level 4 - gross salary commencing at $65,539 p.a.) as well as excellent benefits and working conditions.

Centacare FNQ is the social services arm of the Catholic Diocese of Cairns providing services to Cairns and the wider region, particularly to people who are vulnerable, disadvantaged or marginalised within our community.

This position will provide coordination for upCyclinc, a new environmentally sustainable social enterprise being developed by Centacare Multicultural Services. upCyclinc will provide a space for upcycling and repurposing discarded household and corporate items while providing refugee and migrant communities with pathways to employment.

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Child and Family and Counsellor to provide a range of professional counselling and therapeutic services across the life-span, with a particular focus on family counselling.  Work may be delivered centre-based or outreach and may include the provision of community education and development, group work and seminars.  

This position offers an attractive remuneration package (Centacare EA Level 5 - $37.5726 per hour) as well as excellent benefits and working conditions including salary packaging, flexi-time and 5 weeks annual leave pro rata.

Case Manager

Multiple Casual Position’s available

Centacare Multicultural Services is seeking multiple casual Case Manager’s to provide case management settlement services as part of the Humanitarian Settlement Program. This will include information, referral, and case management support to clients from a refugee background.

The successful applicants will possess a degree level tertiary qualification relevant to the position and a passion for working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. Applicants must have case management experience and be eligible for a Working with Children ‘Blue Card’, a Yellow Card or eligibility/exemption for suitability for working with people with a disability and be able to undergo a satisfactory National Police Check. Possession of a QLD driver’s licence is a requirement. 

This position offers a casual hourly rate of $41.3266 as well as excellent working conditions.
