Centacare Multicultural Services is seeking multiple casual Case Manager’s to provide case management settlement services as part of the Humanitarian Settlement Program. This will include information, referral, and case management support to clients from a refugee background.

The successful applicants will possess a degree level tertiary qualification relevant to the position and a passion for working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. Applicants must have case management experience and be eligible for a Working with Children ‘Blue Card’, a Yellow Card or eligibility/exemption for suitability for working with people with a disability and be able to undergo a satisfactory National Police Check. Possession of a QLD driver’s licence is a requirement. 

This position offers a casual hourly rate of $41.3266 as well as excellent working conditions.

  • Employment Case Worker - full-time 38 hrs p/w maximum term until November 2020; and
  • Employment Case Worker - part-time 22.8 hrs p/w maximum term until June 2020

This position will provide culturally responsive case management and support to Upcyclinc participants, with the goal of increasing their capacity to engage in the Australian workforce. The position will liaise with business, commerce and industry organisations to develop work experience, training and employment pathways.

Project Coordinator - upCyclinc

Maximum Term November 2020

Centacare FNQ is the social services arm of the Catholic Diocese of Cairns providing services to Cairns and the wider region, particularly to people who are vulnerable, disadvantaged or marginalised within our community.

This position will provide day to day coordination for Centacare FNQ’s UpCyclinc social enterprise. The enterprise upcycles and repurposes discarded household and corporate items, selling them online and through retail outlets. UpCyclinc provides opportunities for refugee and migrant communities to gain local work experience across all segments of the business. The position will work in collaboration with the Team Leader to further develop and expand the social enterprise.
